With a large number of reference projects and over 220 companies in transport technology, Berlin is the main target of the German transport engineering industry and an ideal location for InnoTrans, an international platform for buyers and sellers of transport technology in the field of passenger transport and cargo. InnoTrans has been established as a showcase for international industry focusing on railway technology. A full range of railway vehicles are presented in a static display on the Messe Berlin lines located outside the exhibition halls. Other key features of InnoTrans include Railway Infrastructure, Interiors, Public Transport and Tunnel Construction.

The InnoTrans Convention together with the trade fair includes a special Dialogue Forum organized by the Deutsches Verkehrsforum (German Transport Forum), the Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen (VDV, Association of German Transport Companies), the European Railway Industrial Transport Association (UNIFE) and the Verband der Bahnindustrie in Deutschland (VDB, German Railway Industry Association). Initiated and organized by Deutsche Bahn Ag, the Global Summit of Railway Leaders (GRLS) offers excellent opportunities for dialogue for transport ministers and CEOs of international railway companies.
